Working to restore adoptees' access to their original identity - because identity matters!

In Washington State, adult adoptees are denied access to their original birth certificates. They are the only class of citizens in Washington who are not able to see the documents indicating their birth names and, therefore, their heritage and identity.

It is time for Washington to join those states who have shed the shame and secrecy that has surrounded adoption for the last 70 years, and give adult adoptees the same rights as all other citizens!

What's New

          House Bill 2211

          Sponsored by Representative Tina Orwall

Bill would allow adoptees to access

          their original birth certificates.

PLEASE CONTACT YOUR STATE REPRESENTATIVE AND ASK THEM TO

SUPPORT HB 2211!
